ADRIAN GRAVES
Co-Founder
At 70, Adrian's appetite for life and adventure is as strong as ever. His career has spanned working as a Jackaroo in the outback of Western Australia to becoming a CEO of an insurance business based in The City.
Adrian has always been interested in people and curious to learn about their lives. Since retiring he has been recording and writing people's life stories, often asking a universal question: ‘What is your first memory?’. The responses are always unique and often thought-provoking. It was from this that Adrian developed the idea for My First Memory in order to share these first memories with a wider audience.
BRUNO
Co-Founder
Bruno originates from Switzerland. His mission in life is to help people. More than anything else at present he wishes to raise money for the four charities we are supporting.
Bruno has been instrumental in the creation of My First Memory Ltd. He is full of original ideas and is a dog of action on land and sea. He loves taking up new challenges. Listening to peoples first memories is something Bruno really enjoys doing.
TRISTAN CASS
Social Media Lead
Tristan is 21 and from Essex. Like Adrian, he enjoys meeting new people and has an adventurous streak that takes him skiing and scuba diving. After spending time in an Accountancy Apprenticeship in London, he decided to engage his interest in YouTube and social media by joining the My First Memory team.
Tristan was also drawn to My First Memory's mission to
support good causes. He understands the value of social media when used constructively and for good purposes and works with
Adrian to jointly interview individuals.
Tristan has done voluntary work helping the elderly and also teaching juniors to play cricket.
ISOBEL GRAVES
Marketing and Promotional Lead
Isobel is 22, and has a Bachelor in Social Sciences and a Masters in Public Health from University College Cork. She wanted to be involved with the My First Memory (MFM) initiative because of its objective of raising money for 4 selected charities, one of which is particularly close to her heart.
Isobel has demonstrated her marketing skills by helping the Co-Founders of MFM to market this project, and to engage the support of both well-known people and members of the public. Her empathy and communication skills with people from all backgrounds is proving a great asset.
YOUR FIRST MEMORIES SUPPORT GREAT CAUSES
Our goal is to build viewing numbers high enough to generate income from advertising and/or affiliations. My First Memory has pledged to share 50% of revenue, after costs, evenly across the following charities.
Whizz-Kidz
This charity provides mobility equipment for disabled children and young people. Adrian has so far run 3 London Marathons for them
Anxiety UK
This is a charity run by a young team and they are supported by a number of Celebrity Patrons who are named on the charity’s website. Adrian likes what they are doing as the team help the many people suffering from anxiety. One cause of anxiety is that peer group pressure is brought on by what is viewed on social media.
Stroke Association
Adrian’s daughter, otherwise healthy and aged only 32, suffered a stroke nearly 2 years ago, hence there is a personal reason for supporting the charity. Apart from a very minor visual side-effect, she has made a full recovery. www.stroke.org.uk
Parkinson’s UK
One of Adrian’s younger brothers has been diagnosed with the illness.
